This year’s Association of Test Publishers – Europe (E-ATP) conference, hosted at the Hôtel Concorde Berlin, featured themes ranging from Innovations in Assessment, Operational Best Practices, Meeting the Challenges of Testing in Europe and The People Behind the Assessments. Susan Martin, Chair of the 2012 E-ATP conference and Global Certification Director for SAP, said,
“I think the Berlin Conference showed us that the European ATP — and indeed the European testing community – has reached a new stage of maturity. The level of interaction we were seeing in the sessions and the enthusiasm around some of the discussion points was fantastic. I think we saw that the European Conference is here to stay, adding significant membership value for ATP members on both sides of the Atlantic and giving the testing world a voice in Europe. I am really looking forward to the Malta conference next year organized by the 2013 Chair, Garrett Sherry of Prometric and am sure he will move the conference up another gear.”
Prometric unveiled for the first time its latest test development innovation, MyItemWriter, an application that allows users to easily create, edit, upload and review test items anytime and anywhere, using a PC or Mac, tablet or smartphone. Visitors to Prometric’s exhibit received demonstrations of the app.
President and CEO of Prometric Michael Brannick said of the app,
“MyItemWriter enables greater collective authorship of exams, profoundly adding to the validity and diversity of exam content. It facilitates higher quality exams while improving the efficiency of test development operations across every industry we have clients.”
